Santa Cruz Municipal Utilities (SCMU)

Santa Cruz Municipal Utilities (SCMU) provides billing and customer support to Santa Cruz utility users. We provide refuse, sewer, and water services for customers inside the City of Santa Cruz. We also provide water only service for some unincorporated areas of the County of Santa Cruz.

To report emergency loss of water (e.g. leaking water main or damaged fire hydrant), please call 831-420-5220 any time of day. This number can also be used to report minor leaks during our regular phone hours.

If you are experiencing a sewer emergency please call 911.
