Cooperative Water Transfer, Groundwater Recharge, and Resource Management Pilot Project (2015)

A Negative Declaration was adopted in 2016 for the City and the Soquel Creek Water District (District) for an Agreement for the Cooperative Water Transfer, Groundwater Recharge, and Resource Management Pilot Project (Project) between the City and the Soquel Creek Water District (District). The Project facilitates transfer of water from the City’s existing sources to the District under certain terms and conditions for an initial pilot period of five years. In 2021, an Addendum to the Adopted Negative Declaration was prepared, and the City approved an extension of the Transfer Pilot Project Agreement and considered the Negative Declaration Addendum along with the adopted Negative Declaration prior to making a decision on the project.
