Derby Skateboard Park Improvements

Overview

The Parks and Recreation Department has received a request from members of the Santa Cruz skateboarding community to expand the existing Derby Skateboard Park. The project would be a privately funded addition to the park, in the area was once the volleyball court adjacent to the "snake run". The City is undertaking a process to review the proposal. There will be opportunities to learn more about the project and provide feedback.

Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting

Staff will be providing an update on the project and recommending the Parks and Recreation Commission direct staff to continue moving the project forward through the various permitting and approval processes. The Agenda Report and meeting information will be posted on our Parks & Recreation Commission page on February 8, 2024.
